- Retainer Fees and Billing
- Retainer Agreements: Upon engagement, clients may be required to pay a retainer fee. This fee is deposited into a trust account and used to cover legal services as they are rendered.
- Billing Statements: Clients will receive detailed billing statements outlining the services provided and the corresponding fees. We encourage clients to review these statements promptly.
- Refunds of Unearned Fees
- Unused Retainer Funds: If, upon conclusion of our services, there are unearned funds remaining in the trust account, these will be promptly refunded to the client.
- Advance Payments: Fees paid in advance for services not yet rendered will be refunded if the services are not performed, regardless of the reason for non-performance.
- Fee Disputes
- Initial Resolution: If a client believes they have been overcharged or billed incorrectly, we encourage them to contact us immediately to discuss their concerns. Open communication often leads to amicable resolutions.
- Formal Dispute Process: Should informal discussions not resolve the issue, clients may request a formal review of the disputed fees. This request should be made in writing within 30 days of receiving the billing statement in question.
- Chargebacks
- Avoiding Chargebacks: We strive to address all billing concerns directly with our clients. Initiating a chargeback without prior communication may delay resolution.
- Dispute Resolution: If a chargeback is initiated, we will provide the necessary documentation to the financial institution to resolve the matter.
